These terms explain how students, parents, and guardians may use Selective Journey. Please read them before creating an account, purchasing a plan, or using the platform.
By accessing or using Selective Journey, creating an account, purchasing a plan, or allowing a student to use the platform, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
In these terms, Selective Journey, we, us, and our refer to the Selective Journey online practice platform. You refers to the parent, guardian, account holder, or student using the platform.
Selective Journey provides online practice tests, explanations, progress tracking, ranking information, and writing feedback to support exam preparation.
The platform is designed for practice and learning. It does not guarantee entry, placement, scholarship outcomes, school offers, exam results, or any particular academic outcome.
Students are expected to complete practice tests honestly and without unauthorised assistance. This includes avoiding external dictionaries, answer tools, AI writing generators, or help from another person during timed practice unless a parent or teacher has deliberately allowed it for learning purposes.
Selective Journey may record activity signals such as repeated tab or window switching, pasted writing text, and AI-generated writing likelihood. These signals are used to support review, not as automatic proof of misconduct.
After manual review, Selective Journey may exclude an attempt from rankings and average score calculations. Flagged activity may also be shared with parents or guardians where appropriate.
Account holders are responsible for keeping login details secure and for all activity that occurs through their account.
You agree to provide accurate account information and to contact us if you believe an account has been accessed without permission.
All questions, explanations, test content, writing prompts, feedback, page designs, images, text, and other learning materials on Selective Journey are owned by or licensed to Selective Journey unless otherwise stated.
You may use platform materials for the personal study of the registered student only. You must not copy, download, reproduce, share, publish, sell, scrape, record, or redistribute platform content without written permission from Selective Journey.
You must not misuse the platform, attempt to bypass access controls, interfere with the service, upload harmful content, collect data from the platform, or use the platform in a way that infringes another person's rights.
We may suspend or restrict access if we reasonably believe these terms have been breached or the platform is being misused.
Writing feedback may be generated with AI support and is provided as a learning guide only. Official tests are marked by human markers and scores may vary.
Feedback on vocabulary, spelling, grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, organisation, and clarity should be used to help students improve, but it should not be treated as an official mark.
Paid plans provide access to the relevant practice library for the stated membership period. Access may vary depending on the plan purchased and the content available at the time.
We aim to keep the platform available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, technical issues, third-party service interruptions, or events outside our control may affect availability.
Refund requests must be made in writing by email and include the account holder name, contact details, purchase details, and the reason for the request.
Refunds are not automatic. Each request will be reviewed by Selective Journey, and the decision to approve, reject, or offer an alternative remedy is at Selective Journey's discretion, subject to applicable Australian Consumer Law.
Where a plan has been used, including where practice tests have been attempted or writing feedback has been requested, refund eligibility may be limited.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Selective Journey is not responsible for indirect loss, loss of opportunity, exam outcomes, school placement outcomes, data entered incorrectly by users, or consequences arising from reliance on practice results or feedback.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
Selective Journey may update these terms from time to time. The current version published on this page applies when you use the platform.
